Spider veins, also called varicose veins, are common for people who work long periods on their feet, like nurses, waiters, assembly line workers, etc. Varicose veins can be aggravated by too much standing or sitting.
If you work long periods you can wear support stocking or compression socks to help prevent this damage from occurring. Elevating feet can also help to keep the blood from pooling in the legs.
