De-Stress Diffuser Blend With Lavender Essential Oil

In the busy world today, it is easy to let stress get the best of us. So many errands to run, long work hours, busy driving kids here and there... it can all get to be too much.

Lavender essential oil has a fragrant aroma that offers many therapeutic benefits. It is well known for soothing and calming the nervous system. Works good at taking care of our well-being, even earning the name "mothering oil". When comfort is needed, call on lavender.

Bergamot essential oil has a sweet and fruity aroma that provides relaxing effects as it uplifts the senses. It has the ability to promote harmony and restore vitality throughout the mind and body.

Last but not least is ylang ylang essential oil. This oils provocative aroma helps to bring peace to relationships. It can dissipate anger, calm nervous tension, and settle restlessness.

Aromatherapy can help relieve stress and create a relaxing environment. Try this diffuser recipe to help you "De-Stress".

De-Stress Diffuser Blend

  • 3 drops Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
  • 2 drops Bergamot (Citrus bergamia)
  • 2 drops Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata)

Add drops to diffuser with recommended water and enjoy!

FYI: Ylang ylang can cause headaches or nausea in sensitive people or in large doses. If it is bothersome to you, you can omit this oil or lessen the drops to only one drop for the recipe.

Lavender and bergamot are listed as OK for kids 2+. Ylang ylang can be used with caution, kids tend to be OK with the oil when inhaled but topically it can cause skin irritation or sensitization. You may want to omit ylang ylang when children are around if you have any concern or diffuse in a room without them present.

Don't have a diffuser? You could also use this blend on an aromatherapy inhaler. Add 6 drops lavender, 4 drops bergamot and 2 drops ylang ylang. Learn more about using essential oil inhalers.
