    1. Lavender Essential Oil:

It is also known to stimulate hair follicles and increase blood circulation around the scalp which prevents hair loss.  Rosemary essential oil can be used to help dandruff and is suited for people with oily hair.  Add 1-2 drops of oil into a quarter size amount of shampoo, massage into scalp and hair, then rinse as normal.


    3. Vetiver Essential Oils:

    Vetiver is an oil of tranquility because it has the ability to cool, calm and soothe the mind and body.  This property makes it beneficial in preventing hair loss that might occur due to high body heat.  Also can help reduce the itchiness of an itchy scalp.


    4. Chamomile Essential Oil:

    Chamomile oil has soothing anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and anti-itching properties which can help treat dandruff, dry scaly scalp, scalp acne and eczema. It can condition the hair and protect it from damage caused by environmental pollutants.

    This oil is perfect for hair perfume, add 15 drops into a 2 oz spray bottle and fill the rest with water. Shake and then spray on hair to condition and make it smell nice. Bonus is that chamomile scent is calming, so it will help you stay stress free as well.


    5. Ylang Ylang Essential Oil:

    Native to tropical Asia, Ylang ylang is a fragrant oil that has been used traditionally to improve hair growth.  It helps in normalizing sebum production, thus, balancing oily scalps.  Due to its tonic and antiseptic properties, this oil helps in maintenance of a healthy scalp.  Also, it nourishes hair follicles and increases hair growth.


    6. Cedarwood Essential Oil:

    Cedarwood oil has a woody, warm aroma.  It has be used to treat dandruff and hair loss. In a long term experimental study, cedarwood oil has been shown to reverse alopecia areate.  This oil can balance the secretion of oil in the sebaceous gland, making it beneficial for oily or dry scalps.

    Before showering, apply 2 drops to hands and massage into scalp and hair, allow to sit on for 5-10 minutes then shampoo as normal.


    7. Melaleuca Essential Oil:

    Melaleuca oil has been used for many centuries around the world because of its distinct aroma.  It has purifying qualities which makes it important for cleansing the skin area and hair follicles, thus, increasing hair growth.


    8. Patchouli Essential Oil:

    This oil has anti-inflammatory properties that makes it ideal for treatment of eczema, dermatitis, and dandruff.  it is also beneficial for itchy scalp.

    You can add 3 drops of patchouli oil to 1 teaspoon of fractionated coconut oil and apply blend to scalp.  Wait 5-10 minutes then shampoo hair normally.  3 drops of lavender essential oil can be added to the blend if preferred to help as well.
