Cardamom Essential Oil Facts:

Traditionally used as a digestive aid and for flavoring, it is known as the "Queen of Spice". Cardamom spice gives a great Indian flavor to foods. Cardamom essential oil is most known for supporting the digestive and respiratory systems of the body. It can also provide emotional support too.

Botanical Family: Zingiberaeae

Plant Part Used: Seeds

Extraction Method: Steam Distilled

Aroma: Warm, spicy, soft, balsamic

Main Constituents: Terpinyl acetate; 1,8 cineol; linalol; linalyl acetate; limonene

Cardamom Essential Oil Recipes

Warming Chai Tea Diffuser Blend:

  • 2 drops Ginger essential oil
  • 2 drops Cardamom essential oil
  • 2 drops Black Pepper essential oil
  • 2 drops Clove essential oil

-Add oils to diffuser with recommend water for your diffuser, turn on and enjoy!

Open Airways Diffuser Blend:

  • 2 drops Cardamom essential oil
  • 2 drops Eucalyptus essential oil
  • 2 drops Peppermint essential oil

-Add oils to diffuser with recommend water for your diffuser, turn on and enjoy!

Happy Place Inhaler:

-Add essential oils onto cotton wick of aromatherapy inhaler. Once inhaler assembled, take off cap and deeply inhale the aroma. Kid friendly-cut recipe in half if using for kids.

Healthy Digestion Belly Rub:

-Melt coconut oil by warming above 76 degrees, once melted mix in essential oils. Pout into glass jar and allow to firm back up. Apply small amount to belly for relief from indigestion, nausea, gas, etc. 2% dilution.

Happy Lungs - Kids Roller Blend:

-Add essential oils to roller bottle, fill rest of bottle with jojoba oil. Roll onto chest as needed. For kids 6 and up. 1% dilution.

Happy Tummy - Kids Roller Blend:

-Add essential oils to roller bottle, fill rest of bottle with jojoba oil. Roll small amount onto belly as needed. For kids 6 and up. 1% dilution.

Orange Spice Uplifting Body Oil:

  • 5 drops Orange essential oil
  • 5 drops Cardamom essential oil
  • 1 oz Grapeseed oil*
  • 1 oz glass pump bottle

-Add essential oils to bottle, fill rest of bottle with grapeseed oil. Shake to blend, apply to skin. 2% dilution.

Orange Cinnabuns Diffuser Blend:

  • 3 drops Orange essential oil
  • 2 drops Cinnamon essential oil
  • 2 drops Cardamom essential oil

-Add oils to diffuser with recommend water for your diffuser, turn on and enjoy!

Cardamom Citrus Foaming Soap:

-Add soap, essential oils and fractionated coconut oil into bottle, swirl bottle to gentle mix together. Add water to bottle and place pump on bottle. Shake gently to mix. To use, pump into palm of hands and lather well, rinse off.

Mental Clarity Inhaler:

-Add essential oils onto cotton wick of aromatherapy inhaler. Once inhaler assembled, take off cap and deeply inhale the aroma.

Spice It Up Room Spray:

  • 8 drops cardamom essential oil
  • 2 drops clove essential oil
  • 5 drops lime essential oil
  • 5 drops ginger essential oil
  • 1/4 cup distilled water
  • 2 oz glass spray bottle

-Add ingredients to bottle, place on spray top and shake well to blend. To use, shake and spritz several sprays into desired room.

Digestive Support Inhaler:

-Add essential oils onto cotton wick of aromatherapy inhaler. Once inhaler assembled, take off cap and deeply inhale the aroma. Kid friendly-cut recipe in half if using for kids.

Cough Support Steam:
-Add 2 drops Cardamom oil into bowl of hot water, inhale steam to help loosen phlegm & soothe cough.

Breathe Easy Shower Melts:

-Mix the baking soda and water together into a paste. Pour mixture into silicone cupcake liners (about 1/3 full). Bake at 350 degrees F for 10–15 minutes. Allow to cool completely. To use, simply add the 3 drops cardamom and 3 drops lavender to shower melt right before you shower. Sweet & Spicy Diffuser Blend:

  • 4 drops Cardamom essential oil
  • 2 drops Bergamot essential oil
  • 2 drops Grapefruit essential oil

-Add oils to diffuser with recommend water for your diffuser, turn on and enjoy!

Cardamom Essential Oil Precautions

Generally considered safe, non-irritating and non-sensitizing. Highly aromatic so use sparingly. Best to use only diluted on the skin due to its spicy nature. Cardamom should not be used for children under 5 years old.
